Description
The "S28" dining chairs, designed by Pierre Chapo in 1972, represent a clear transition from mid-century to modernist design. For this design he was particularly influenced by a traditional chair used in the Alsace region. He kept the basic characteristics of the Alsatian chair, but modernized it. The back is made of a single piece of wood, the seat is a solid flat wood piece and the four legs point outwards The chairs showcase geometric seats and backrests with tapered legs. The wood grain is perfectly aligned, highlighting the natural beauty of the material.
