SOLD 1960's Alvar Aalto Birch Bentwood Chair with Fluffy Boucle Shearling Model 402

Alvar Aalto armchair model 403, designed originally in 1933. Aalto was an innovative designer who experimented with bentwood. The birch frame consists of layers of plywood which flex allowing for sitting comfort. The seat and backrest have been fully reupholstered in a fluffy boucle faux shearling.
